WCKA Gorseinon and Killay is run by David Huxtable, a second degree black belt and Welsh Karate Governing Body Qualifed Coach.  He is supported by his leadership team of his children, Amy and Daniel, both being first degree black belts.

Other senior grades are expected to help with training as part of their training and self development.

The syllabus covers basic punches, kicks and blocks and leads onto advanced throws, sweeps and combinations.  Wrist locks, arm locks, knife defences and strangle holds also feature at advanced levels although all are taught from an early stage of training.  This side of the syllabus has an emphasis on self defence - a modern style for a modern world.

There is also a very active sports karate and kickboxing section within the WCKA and we are proud to support this aspect of the martial art.
